Jose Mari G. Tual
Mr. Tual is a core member and a supervising partner of the Firm's litigation and labor groups.
He actively appears and argues before the country's trial courts including family courts and administrative bodies, as well as before the Court of Tax Appeals. He also has extensive experience in filing briefs and pleadings before appellate courts.
He has also assisted various companies in negotiating favorable collective bargaining agreements with their unions. He has likewise been consulted on matters concerning prevention of lawsuits, which enabled clients to fend off potentially costly judicial proceedings. His diplomacy skills towards opposing parties and their counsels have in most cases resulted in getting favorable concessions for clients during negotiations for compromise.
While his primary practice area is litigation, he also has extensive experience in corporate practice, serving as corporate secretary to different corporations and drafting various transaction documents.
He has been with the firm since May 2000.
