Emmanuel R. Sison
 

Emmanuel R. Sison is a member of the Litigation Group.

He was formerly the Assistant Director and Chief of the Litigation and Adjudication Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission. As corporate litigator, he handles cases involving controversies arising out of intra-corporate and partnership relations and controversies in the election or appointments of directors, trustees, and officers of corporations, partnerships or associations. 

 

He has filed Petitions for Rehabilitation of distressed corporations and has served as Rehabilitation Receiver in some such corporations. He has also supervised stockholders’ meetings for the election of Directors and Officers. 

 

He likewise served as Corporate Secretary and Consultant of Meralco. He currently sits as a member of the Board of Directors of a bank listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange and of other several corporations. 

 

He was previously connected with the Department of Justice as Trial Attorney of the Citizens Legal Assistance Office (CLAO). As litigation lawyer, he has handled civil, criminal, administrative, and appealed cases. 

 

He has a broad knowledge of the Administrative Code including the Local Government Code which has decentralized the powers and resources from the national government to the local government units, having been once the Secretary to the City Council and the Secretary to the Mayor of the City of Manila.
